SALA CONTINUES TO WORK REMOTELY

SALA is carefully watching CDC reports and working to make sure clients, staff and our community are kept safe. In line with this, we will continue to only take applications by phone and online—all offices are closed except by appointment. See below for specific information.

Also, effective immediately and until further notice the public, including clients who have appointments, vendors and janitors are all required to wear a face covering that covers the mouth and nose when visiting any SALA office. If you are sick please reschedule your appointment, or request a phone appointment.

WALK INS: In these difficult times, we are doing everything we can to remain available to provide legal assistance. We will still be taking online (www.sazlegalaid.org) and phone call applications. Here are our intake numbers:
The intake line for Pima County & Santa Cruz County is 520-623-9461 and Tucson intake hours will be increased to 8:30-12 and 1-4 daily.

APPOINTMENTS: All SALA offices will be closed to the public except by appointment. For everyone’s health and safety, we will be scheduling phone appointments—please contact your advocate.

VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROGRAM CLASSES/CLINICS: Due to concerns for everyone’s health, we have moved our classes and clinics to a telephonic or videoconference format for now. 

VLP Classes: We are currently offering all of our family law classes and minor guardianship classes by telephone or videoconference, depending on need and lawyer availability.

VLP Legal Clinics:  If you have a family law or employment law issue, we may be able to help you through our Family Law Clinic at the Self-Service Center, family law follow-up advice clinics, or employment law advice clinics. Apply for the Self-Service Center Family Law Clinic by contacting VLP at 520-623-9465 x4175; apply for the other programs by contacting our Intake (numbers above). 

VLP Current Clients: If you are a current client, contact your advocate.  Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) will be in touch with VLP clients and may offer you telephonic appointments or video conferencing, depending on volunteer lawyer availability.

SALA se mantiene informada de las últimas noticias, reportes del CDC, para asegurarnos que estamos haciendo todo lo necesario para mantener a nuestros clientes, personal y la comunidad en general seguros.  Para cumplir este objetivo, continuaremos solamente recibiendo solicitudes por teléfono o por la internet- todas las oficinas se encuentran cerradas, sólo con cita puede venir en persona. Además, efectivo inmediatamente y hasta nuevo aviso, el público, incluyendo clientes que tienen citas, vendedores, y personal de mantenimiento, se les requiere que usen mascarillas cada vez que visiten la oficina de SALA.  Estas mascarillas deben cubrir la boca y la nariz. CLĺNICAS LEGALES DEL VLP: Si usted tiene un asunto legal relacionado con ley de familia o de empleo, le podemos prestar servicios por medio de nuestro Centro de Autoservicio (Self-Service Center), clínicas de continuación que ofrecen asesoría en asuntos de leyes de relaciones domésticas y de leyes de empleo. Ayuda por medio del Centro de Autoservicio, Clases de Continuación, puede hacer la solicitud llamando al VLP al 520—623-9465, ext. 4175; puede solicitar ayuda con los otros programas comunicándose con tramite inicial (intake), vea el número mencionado arriba.

CLIENTES DEL VLP: Si ya es cliente, comuníquese con su abogado o asistente legal. El Programa de Abogados Voluntarios, pueda que le ofrezca citas por teléfono o conferencias por video, dependiendo si hay abogados disponibles.
